Busy week...

Well, we've had a busy week. Last Monday Luke had his 4 month appointment. He weighed about 15.8 pounds and was about 25 3/4 inches long. What a big boy!!! He also got his shots and I got the flumist, which didn't work out so well for me. Had a fever the next day but fortunately it wasn't long lasting. We left Thursday for Garmisch and had a great time! Luke's first vacation! Ate a Thanksgiving buffet that was pretty good and visited some fun spots. Went to the Christmas market in Munich, saw one of Ludwig's palaces, and hiked a very cool Gorge. Even got to see a little bit of Austria! We had a great time!:)

Happy Halloween!

How time flies!! I can't believe its November already!! For those who already noticed, yes, I finally fell into the facebook trap.:) However, I will still keep my blog and hopefully use it to update you all at greater lengths. I know that I have done poorly as of yet but I am not a writer. It's true... I will try to do the best that I can.

We had a good time on Halloween. We went over to our friends house and made some Halloween themed food, carved pumpkins, and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun. I'm posting some pics of it and some pics that Kelly took of Luke the week before. You've probably all seen them. Super cute!!!

Guess what!!!

Luke slept through the night last night for the first time!!! He ate around 10-10:30 last night and then again at 7 this morning. I was of course up between 6 and 7 wondering if he was okay in there but he started making noises around a quarter till. It's so exciting!! We'll see if it continues though. Also exciting... our new BX opened at the new mall this week. It is... AWESOME. It is like being at home. It has a lot more options than before and its like shopping at Target but maybe with not so many choices. It does have move stuff than Target though. Someone Dave works with described it as a cross between Target and JCPenney. I'd say thats pretty close to right. It has wide aisles and is bright and clean. Did I say I was excited? Anyhoo... more pics of the most adorable boy in the world...

2 month appointment

Luke survived his 2 month appointment today. He was 12.4 pounds and 24.2 inches long. What a big boy! I felt really bad for him with the immunizations. He got one by mouth which wasn't so bad but then he got 3 shots. They did them all at once which I think was probably a good thing. We held him down and he layed there just chillin' but when they gave him the shots he turned bright red and just screamed.:( I felt so bad. He got over it fairly quickly but they said he'd be a little sore. Poor little guy.:(

Look at Luke!!

So for the most part Luke has found tummy time to be a good time of rest and would just rest his head on the floor. Recently, however, he has started to lift his head up and today he actually raised up onto his forearms!! Pictures as shown.:) We had a good time last week with Dave's parents. We went to Europa Park which was a lot of fun!! They had some great rollercoasters! We also went to Stuttgart and saw the super cool Mercedes museum and also there little downtown walk area with some old buildings(you know, Europe-like:). They also went with Dave one day to Trier and really enjoyed it. Its sounds like a really cool place to visit. Luke has his two month on Thursday(YIKES!) and I'll have to update you all on the numbers after that.

Luke is starting to be all smiles when he's well rested. It's so cute!! We're still working on the napping thing but I'm sure it'll take time.

Yes, I'm terrible and haven't kept up at all but I've been very busy. Luke is starting to finally do better napping so I'm hoping to get more of this done, including pictures!! Luke is doing very well. We went in for one last weight check today just to make me feel better since the last one was the first time he was above birth weight. As the doctor said, he is gaining like a champ! In fact, I would say he is approaching slightly chunky monkey status. He was 10 pounds 1.3 ounces today! He's gained a little over a pound and a half in the last two weeks!!! Soon my biceps will be toned again!:) A few pictures from the last week...
